10 CRAZIEST

Dimple Implants

What it is: A surgical procedure called a dimpleplasty adds a deep dimple on either or both cheeks. There is a small risk of scarring as the skin sags with age, but it's worth it to look like Cheryl Cole, right?

How it works: The simple procedure is done in about 30 minutes, under local anesthesia. The plastic surgeon makes a small incision in the skin to create a small depression, and a long-lasting suture is used to hold the underside of the skin.

Average cost: Between $2,000 to $5,000

Collagen Feet Fillers
What it is: An injection of protein in the ball of the heel to provide a layer of extra padding and "fill out" the skin. This is a popular procedure for women who experience pain from wearing uncomfortable shoes. Oh, the things we'll do for our love of heels. Whatever happened to just wearing flats instead?

How it works: Just like collagen fillers for your face, protein is injected to form a cushioned pad on the bottom of your foot. The effects last up to a few months, so you'll be returning a few times a year.

Average cost: About $225 per treatment

LashDip

What it is: A semi-permanent mascara that is applied by a trained professional and lasts for up to six weeks. Which means you can finally toss those old, cracked mascaras that don't work.

How it works: LashDip is a black gel that works to curl and lengthen lashes. It also adds dramatic volume and color. The patient just needs to apply a coat of clear gloss over their lashes called "LashSeal" three times a week to extend wear.

Average cost: $200-$300 for the initial treatment. You may need a follow-up application at week three to offset any growth, which will cost an additional fee.

Cankle Liposuction

What it is: Liposuction for chubby ankles, hence the word "cankle." And for those wondering what cankles might look like, it's when you don't have a defined curve beneath your calf. This procedure takes your ankles from sturdy to slim in under three hours.

How it works: The surgeon makes several incisions in your ankle and removes fat from the entire area (up to 3.3 pints of it). Bonus? The result is permanent as long as you maintain a steady weight.

Average cost: Between $5,000 to $8,000

Coolsculpting by Zeltiq
What it is: The first non-invasive procedure approved by the FDA to reduce fat using cryolipolysis, a process that freezes fat cells.

How it's done: A target area (like love handles) is sandwiched between two cooling panels. The patient lies on their side for up to three hours while the panels freeze the fat cells. Over the next two to four months, the crystallized fat cells break down and begin to shrink, eventually disappearing. The fat will stay off permanently if the patient exercises regularly and eats healthfully.

Average cost: $650-$1200 per session

Isolaz

What it is: An in-office acne treatment that uses a broadband light and a vacuum to get rid of adult acne and deeply purify pores.

How it works: The cleansing vacuum sucks out dirt and oil deep down from pores, and a painless light helps destroy acne-causing bacteria to prevent it from coming back.

Average cost: $200-350 per treatment. Four to six treatments are usually needed.

Belly Button Surgery

What it is: The procedure is a popular one among patients who want to turn their "outie" belly button into an "innie." Technically called an umbilicoplasty, it can be done together with a tummy tuck.

How it works: The surgeon makes an incision inside the navel to change the appearance of the belly button. It is performed under local anesthesia, and there are usually no resulting scars.

Average cost: Up to $4,000

LightSheer DUET

What it is: A faster, more comfortable laser hair removal treatment.

How it works: This new vacuum-assisted laser gives off a larger-than-normal beam of light that enables a greater depth of penetration and allows for much faster treatment times. An entire back or two legs can be done in 15 minutes. Impressive, right?

Average cost: $450 per session. However, laser hair removal treats hair that is an active growth phase; because all the hairs aren't in that phase at the same time, between four to eight treatments may be required

Toe Shortening

What it is: Surgically shortening the length of your toe. Reasons behind the procedure can range from discomfort while wearing certain shoes to pure aesthetic opinion.

How it works: The surgeon removes portions of bone from the toe joint, and places pins inside to let it heal in the proper position. Then the skin must be restructured to fit the new toe length.

Average cost: About $2,000 for one toe, and up to $15,000 for a complete foot makeover.

Facial fat grafting (a.k.a. Stem Cell Facelift)

What it is: A small amount of fat is taken from one part of the body and re-implanted into the lips or other parts of the face or body to help restore fullness. It's a "natural" alternative to hyaluronic injectibles, and it lasts longer than other injectables (50 percent of the fat can last up to five years).

How it works: A surgeon removes fat from the buttocks or abdomen, which is treated to remove blood and other fluids. It is then injected into the desired site (a modified facelift can be done before fat injections to create a more dramatic result).

Average cost: $1,500-$3,000 for one area, and $5,000-$9,000 for a full face treatment.
