NOSE JOB PRICES

How much does a nose job cost? Rhinoplasty (nose job) is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries in the world. While reconstructive nose surgery can be done to correct repaired breathing, most patients consider rhinoplasty because they are unsatisfied with the appearance and proportion of their nose. Often, this impacts their self-esteem and confidence. So while rhinoplasty can be expensive, many people seeking nose job surgery think that its benefit offsets the costs. So how much would a patient actually spend on rhinoplasty? Let’s take a look…

Nose Job Cost By Surgery

Prices below are an average. Prices depend on the professionalism of your doctor as well as the surgery.
  • Primary Septoplasty/Turbinectomy $3,500. – $6,500
  • Secondary open rhinoplasty $7,000. – $9,000
  • Secondary closed rhinoplasty $2,643. – $10,000; with implant: $2,500 – $10,200
Cost of rhinoplasty varies based on several factors. Location, for instance, is an important consideration when discussing nose job costs for these vary from country to country and from surgeon to surgeon. In 2003, nose job costs (primary rhinoplasty) in the US range around $3,000 to $8,500. In the UK, on the other hand, price ranges from £3,500 to £7,000. If this amount doesn’t fit your budget, you can follow the example of some patients who actually go abroad to countries where rhinoplasty is much cheaper.

In Belgium, for instance, average cost of rhinoplasty is only £2,000 and in India, it is even an affordably low £1,100. Traveling abroad, however, would require additional cost for travel and accommodation so you have to take these factors into consideration when calculating which option is most economical for you. You also run the risk lack of getting an unprofessional surgeon if it is not a 1st world country. Usually, you pay for what you get.

Overall nose job costs typically cover surgeon’s fee, anesthesiologist’s fee, and a facility fee. Then again, surgical fees will depend on which doctor performs the procedure. Rhinoplasty surgeons with more extensive experience tend to post higher fees.

What Determines The CostExtent of surgery is another deciding factor on the cost of a nose job. For instance, nose bump removal would cost less than complete nose reshaping. Cost will also depend on whether you are getting primary closed rhinoplasty or open rhinoplasty, with open rhinoplasty costing more than closed surgery. Other factors that affect the cost of rhinoplasy includesa fee for pre – and post-surgery care and medication.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Around 10% of patients who have undergone rhinoplasty need subsequent operations known as revision rhinoplasty. This procedure costs more than primary nose surgical procedure. Then of course, the cost of revision rhinoplasty would still depend on how complex the procedure is. For example, if the function of the nose needs to be corrected along with the appearance of the nose, the procedure will be more expensive. If you’re candidate for revision rhinoplasty, expect to pay more than double of what you’ve spent on primary rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty, if for health or medical reasons, is often covered by insurance, and this can significantly lower the cost of the surgery. For instance, if the surgery is to be performed to correct a breathing problem, then it may be covered by insurance policies. Rhinoplasty covered by insurance will cost less than a nose job done for purely aesthetic or non-medical purposes.

During your pre-surgical consultation, the cost of the surgery will be discussed with you. Learn also about their available financing options so you can get your nose job in the most comfortably affordable way.

  1. Getting a nose job was a very scary thing for me. I knew my face would be different so I made sure to talk with my doctor about how it would change. we discussed changse both with the front view and from my profile. While I love my new nose, I have seen a lot of noses that look unnatural. I was lucky enough (and dedicated enough to do research!) to have a great doctor... and now great results
